Drupal website for AMA ACT

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) is the largest independent organisation for all doctors. Its members are registered medical practitioners and medical students.

The AMA ACT represents medical students, junior doctors, salaried hospital doctors, specialists and VMOs, salaried non-clinical doctors and academics through a range of disciplines. The AMA acts as an advocate for the medical profession and for patients.

AMA ACT approached us to create a practice based website to promote their organisation. This was a small project where the client had a tight budget. The issues we needed to address included:

  • allow AMA ACT members to sign on to a members-only area
  • an area for uploading documents which users could then download
  • allow administrators to quickly and easily modify and add content to the site

Agileware's experience in website design took account of all user specification. We implemented a solution that includes the following:

  • creating a members-only area for the site. Members use their own usernames and passwords to gain access to certain member specific resources
  • enabling ease of content management and maintenance of the site
  • configuring and implementing a fully functional WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor to allow easy editing of website content
  • hosting of the new site

The client was on a tight budget, but Agileware managed to complete the project on time and within the approved budget. They were very easy to work with and were very pleased with the completed project.

We look forward to the opportunity to redesign the website for our client.
