Gundaroo Bush Festival is an annual event held in the historic village of Gundaroo, just half an hours drive north of Canberra, in the heart of the Southern Tablelands. The festival is a celebration of Gundaroo -- a country village with a unique heritage and a strong community spirit.

Activities on the day include sheep dog trials, dog high jump and other dog events, woodchop competition, kids rides, markets, delicious country-style food, displays, bush poetry, pantomimes, demonstrations and competitions.

The look and feel of the website had to reflect the rural environment. The goal was to make it very user friendly and easy to navigate. The issues we needed to address included:

• the ability to publish up-to-date news and event information for the benefit of end users
• a news area with news articles
• an area for uploading documents which users could then download
• an online registration form for event entrants
• directions to the festival

We implemented a solution that includes the following:

• an easy to use and effective online registration form
• an interactive Google map that outlines the location
• configuring and implementing a fully functional WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor to allow easy editing of website content

Due to already strong working relationships client satisfaction was high. Visitors can quickly and easily locate and download content.

The client and Agileware achieved their stated objectives and gained huge benefits through a joint sponsorship.
