Drupal website for Windlab Systems

Windlab Systems is a global wind energy development company established in 2003. The company currently has wind energy projects under development in Canada, USA, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.

With their advanced wind modelling tools they are able to remotely locate and validate new, highly prospective sites rapidly.

Windlab Systems needed to redesign its website to better promote its message and cause to the public at large. Some key objectives that the client wanted to achieve included:

  • showcase Windlab's technical expertise
  • convince landholders, future partners and future investors to invest in Windlab
  • demonstrate good community/landowner policy
  • showcase Windlab's personnel
  • showcase the success of their wind energy projects
  • allow administrators to quickly and easily modify and add content to the site

Agileware's experience in website design took account of all user requirements. We implemented a solution that includes the following:

  • a modern relaxed feel consistent with clean energy
  • an appealing, well-designed user interface with easy to find content
  • an interactive Google map that allows users to visually see new locations of wind farms. As you pan or zoom in the map, the map overview changes accordingly
  • a rotating banner (not present in competitors websites)
  • a blog where you can keep up-to-date on their latest developments
  • a drop down search box

Along with an elegant layout, we also simplified the sites navigation, to allow for a much easier browsing experience. As a result, the number of visitors to the site has increased dramatically since the relaunch.
